This book is a compilation of daily explorations of the letter “Z”, reimagining the iconic “zzz” of comics through a wide variety of typographic styles. For one month, a single drawing of the letter “Z” was created each day, capturing spontaneous inspiration shaped by movements, activities, and encounters. Each letter tells its own story, freezing the emotion of the day in a unique visual form, while collectively the series transforms a familiar comic symbol into a playful typographic experiment.
One letter later inspired me to create the Star Variable Typeface.
